Peak District
Geologically split in two by the limestone outcrops of the White Peak and the gritstone edges of the Dark Peak, the UK’s first national park has plenty to offer all mountain bikers. The Peak District mountain biking classics such as the steep and rugged Jacobs Ladder to the wild Cut Gate, can all be found in and around the MTB meccas of Hope and Edale valleys. Whereas the sublime rolling dales of the White Peak provide more mellow and scenic days out for all levels.

The riding around the White Peak is generally quite a bit different to the rugged and technical trails further north. However, the diversity of the the riding in the Peak District makes it so appealing. Revitalised disused railway lines, rolling downland and beutiful ash woodland intertwined with bridleways that offer big climbs and even bigger views give the White Peak a very distinctive mountain biking experience for all the family.
