For many the mountain biking in the Lake District is the best in England and Wales and for some can rival Scotlands world class variety. Boasting everything from prime forest singletrack to the immersive fells and ancient mountain passes to reach those eye-popping epic summits, the Lake District with its technical natural trails will leave you drenched with adrenaline.
They regularly feature in magazines as ‘must-do’ rides for all mountain bikers! These are the packhorse trails of yesteryear, that link the fells and glacial valleys across the Lake District. They are the perfect blend between remote adventure and adrenaline inducing descents on sublime ribbons of ancient singletrack. From Garburn, Nan Bield and Gatescarth passes, East and North-East of Windemere to Black Sail, Sty Head and Walna Scar passes that intertwine the West, we are on hand to take you up and over for that wild MTB experience.
The highest mountain in England that you can ride a bike on, topping out at 950 meters is riddled with trails and is synonymous with Lake District mountain biking. To take on Helvellyn is simply a must for the experienced biker. At anytime of year and the right weather, a dawn-raid or dusk descent will have you talking about this epic ride for years to come.

So it’s Wednesday and I’m still buzzing from our long weekend in the peaks with Sean. Seriously had the best MTB experience since I took it up in the 90s. Such good laughs. Amazing mountain biking. If anyone is thinking about booking with Marmalade MTB as Nike would say “Just Do It”

Absolutely EPIC 3 days in the Peaks with Sean and the gang. Did the most technical gnarly riding I’ve EVER done with Seans help and guidance, always giving us a little heads up to upcoming gnarly stuff and encouraging us all to excel in whatever we was doing.

I’m still buzzing from my trips to the Peaks with Marmalade. Sean was a fantastic guide, driver, mechanic, drinking buddy, organiser, motivator (and probably a lot more that I’m forgetting!) More than that, it was just like riding with another member of the mob!
3 truly awesome days in the Peaks that are up there with the best I’ve had, on and off the bike. Won’t hesitate to book with Sean again and already plotting the next adventure!
